The future of Analog Dreams
Coming soon, we’ll be offering custom one-off and ultra limited lathe-cut records. This service is designed for bands, producers, and musicians who want to have their own music to vinyl. Whether it’s testing a track in the club, sending a demo to a distributor, or creating a personal keepsake of your own sonic creations, each record is cut with care on a system primarily designed for creating lacquer master discs (a service we also offer).
These discs are produced in-house using a precision-restored and upgraded Neumann lathe fitted with a state of the art modern cutting head equipment, typically reserved for top-tier mastering facilities. This allows us to achieve exceptional clarity and fidelity within the lathe-cut format. Every cut is handled with care and attention to detail. We work closely with clients to advise on side length, track layout, and mastering suitability. Ensuring the final result sounds authentic and true to the artist’s vision.
In the future, Analog Dreams will also be expanding into full-scale vinyl pressing utilising state of the art pressing equipment that has already arrived in South Australia, awaiting its final home when we can find a location for our pressing facility.
From imported records to custom-cut discs and, eventually, full production runs, we’re building a home for quality-driven physical music in all its forms.

Craftsmanship
At the heart of what we do is our beautifully restored Neumann AM32 lathe—a vintage powerhouse from the 1950s, originally used in New Zealand’s legendary HMV Record Plant. Upgraded with modern touches but still pulsing with history, our lathe helps us cut master discs with unmatched precision and depth. It’s one of the few remaining of its kind, and it brings real soul to every spin.
